In Fall 2015, tuition for the Ascending Leaders program is $2,000.


Each year, we raise scholarship funds from funders who support the work of nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia five-county area and in southern New Jersey. Organizations are only eligible for scholarships if they have offices and serve clients in one of these areas.

NELI Scholarships are contributed by the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, as well as by individuals and other local foundations. A limited number of partial scholarships are reserved for Fellows with the greatest need. No full scholarships are available.

First, please print out the a blank copy of the Scholarship Application Form and review all the questions.  Collect all the information you will need BEFORE you go online to complete the form. Once you go online, you will need to fill out all of the fields and attach your Application Essay and Resume. 
If you leave the Application Form without completing all the fields and attachments, you will not be able to Save and re-enter this form. Instead, you will need to start an completely new form.


TD Charitable Foundation will award grants to eligible organizations for their employees to attend courses that will enhance leadership development and job performance. To check on your organization's eligibility, please click here:  TD Charitable Foundation Application Process.  Applications are accepted throughout the year and must be submitted before the NELI Fellow begins to attend the certificate program.

The Valentine Foundation:  The Valentine Foundation makes grants available through its Fund for Visionary Leadership, which provides a dedicated source of funding for leadership training for women executives. The purpose of the Fund is to strengthen the organizations that improve the lives of women and girls in the Greater Philadelphia region by: a) making current women leaders more effective, b) developing the next generation of women leaders, and c) fostering a community of women leaders.
