Who is eligible for this program?

Applicants must hold a senior management position, such as Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Director, or Vice President. In some cases, directors of divisions or directors of development are accepted, based on their roles as senior managers in their organizations.  

Fellows are drawn from many different sectors in the nonprofit and philanthropic communities, such as health, education, human services, housing, economic development, public law, and the environment.

Consultants are not eligible to apply to this program.

How long does it take to complete the program?

The Executive Certificate Program is a 10-day program, held over seven months.
There are five training sessions. 

What is the schedule in 2016?

The training dates are noted below: Each training seminar runs from 
8:30 AM - 5 PM.

April 29th and 30th

May 20th and 21st

June 17th, 18th, and 24th

September 16th and 17th

October 21st and 22nd

Where are classes held?

All classes are held at Bryn Mawr College's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, 300 Airdale Road, Bryn Mawr, Pa 19101

How many people do you accept?

We accept up to 25 Fellows in each cohort.

When is the application deadline?

The application deadline is April 1st, 2016.

What is the cost?

The tuition for this program is $5,750.

Are scholarships available?

Each year, we raise scholarship funds from funders who support the work of nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia five-county area and in southern New Jersey. Organizations are only eligible for scholarships if they have offices and serve clients in one of these areas.

These NELI Scholarships are contributed by the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, by individuals, and local foundations.
A limited number of partial scholarships are reserved for Fellows with the greatest need. No full scholarships are available.

Who should write my Nomination Letter?

You are required to submit a Nomination Letter from your current employer, or a recent employer if you recently changed jobs. If you would like to submit a second Nomination Letter from an additional boss or a colleague, you may elect to do so.

What kind of credit do I receive for this program?

Students receive continuting education credits for the Executive Leadership Certificate Program.

Do you provide housing for Fellows who are coming from out of town?

We are not able to offer housing. We will help you identify accomodations that are convenient to campus.
