Cheryl Lynn Horsey Named Bryn Mawr's Chief Enrollment Officer

May 17, 2017

The below message was sent from President Kim Cassidy on Wednesday, May 17, 2017

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Cheryl Lynn Horsey as the College's next Chief Enrollment Officer.  Dr. Horsey is currently Vice President for Enrollment and Student Services at Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, where she has held a variety of leadership positions over the past sixteen years.  She previously led enrollment and student services offices at Rutgers University, Rosemont College, and Lincoln University.  Cheryl earned her B.A. at C.W. Post College of Long Island University, her M.P.A. at Penn State, and her Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr's Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.

Dr. Horsey will bring superb leadership and management skills to the Enrollment division, as well as deep experience in attracting, enrolling, and graduating students at a diverse set of institutions.  She will be a thoughtful and compelling advocate for the value of a Bryn Mawr education, and I am excited to welcome her to the College.

I extend my thanks Ruth Lindeborg and to the members of the search committee, who gave careful thought and many hours of time to the search process.  I am also grateful to Marge Pyle for her professional support in coordinating the search.  And finally, I want to extend a special thanks to Jerry Berenson for his willingness to come out of retirement to so ably lead the Enrollment Division during this interim period.

I hope you will join me in welcoming Dr. Horsey when she assumes her new role at the College in July.
