The student named above is applying for the Robert Noyce Scholarship, which is intended for math and science majors planning to pursue a teaching career in mathematics or science. In exchange for a two-year scholarship, Noyce Fellows will teach for four years in a high need secondary school in the Greater Philadelphia region. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong content knowledge in math or science, the potential to be a successful teacher, and a commitment to teaching in a high-needs school district. Please comment on the applicant’s qualifications to be a successful Noyce Fellow. Include a description of how long and in what capacity you have known the applicant.
