International Students

Welcome to the Office of international Programs (OIP) “Bryn Mawr’s Gateway to the World!”

At OIP, we endeavor to help every international student feel that Bryn Mawr College is truly a “home away from home”.  We fascilitate the transition and integration of international students into the Bryn Mawr community by providing resources on matters of particular interest to international students.  We advise international students on U.S immigration issues so that each student takes personal responsibility for remaining in compliance with regulatory requirements governing her stay in the US.

We assist international students with the following:

  • Orientation to Bryn Mawr College
  • Immigration and cross-cultural advising
  • Issuance of I-20 forms for undergraduate and graduate F-1 students
  • Issuance of DS-2019 for visiting exchange students
  • Off campus employment authorization and advising
  • Payroll certification for on-campus employment
  • Travel and re-entry advising
  • Liaison services with state/federal agencies

Currently, Bryn Mawr is home to students from over 40 different countries.  International students represent almost 10 percent of the total student body. This includes students who are nationals of countries other than the United States, hold dual citizenship, or are U.S. citizens living abroad.
