Note as of 2/19/04:

This week's GURPS session will not be held due to Hell Week.

The following people have signed up to be in the finals-week one-shot of Macho Women with Guns (which is exactly what the name implies; and is something we need during finals week):

Lila
Kim
Comma (yay, a Swillie!)
Elizabeth D
Sarah
Phoebe
Laura Abby Marjorie

Gaming Updates:
So far we've had an NPC and a player character taken over by a daemon, found out that the same daemon was helping to run the organization that Tilear thought was just a political group, taken a contract out on the demon, and set several gardens of roses on fire outside of a church. How picturesque!

Wisteria bush update: that stupid thing still has not broken yet.

Old News:
This year gaming will not be run under the Dungeons and Dragons system, as both players and DM found that it didn't allow for enough flexibility or creativity.

So we will be using the GURPS system. GURPS stands for Generic Universal Roleplaying System. I've looked over the matierals for character creation and the like and found the system for both players and DM to be more intuitive and fun than rule-bound. If you're interested in creating a new character for GURPS or modifiying your old D&D character for the GURPS system, please get in touch with Cassandra, the DM.

Gaming will be starting after Fall Frolic, when we can hopefully get a few new players and start it all off together at once into the new system. The world will be a steampunk kind of world--low magic, relatively high technology (think late 80's, early 90's)--and lots and lots of interestingly weird stuff.

To read more about GURPS please go to the Official GURPS website.

There will be an end of the year picnic in May.
