The Bryn Mawr-Haverford Equestrian Club was founded in the spring of 1999 by Rachel Schwartz and Elizabeth Allocco. According to Akoue, Bryn Mawr's yearbook, Bryn Mawr had an Equestrian Team at one point in its history. A subset of the club competes in Zone 3 Region 2 of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.

Currently there are approximately 20 active club members. At least a dozen of these ride once a week. Those without their own horses ride at Monastery Stablen in Fairmount Park, where the club part leases and borrows privately owned horses. Although most of us ride English (hunter), we are working on being able to ride Western, and there are shows in both diciplines.

Everyone connected to the colleges is welcome to join us. Club fees are $50 per semester and lessons are $12.
