WHAT TO DO

Place your nose on the end of the arrow that says ≥put your nose here≤. Your nose should be touching the end of the mirror. Look into the mirror in front of you and try to get an image that looks like your face. (You are seeing half of your face and then a reflection of that half). You can also make funny faces by tilting your head and making odd expressions! Have fun!

HOW IT WORKS

When looking at the human body as a whole, it is roughly symmetrical. This means that one side is a mirror image of the other. When looking at the details of the human body, however, things are usually asymmetrical (not mirror images of each other). The face for example may not be perfectly symmetrical -- in fact most are not. When you look into the mirror and see half of your face and then a mirror image of that half, something doesnπt look quite right. You have created a perfectly symmetrical face. For some people it does not look anything like their real face, for others it may look close to your real face, but not quite!
