PROFILE OF THE 2007-08 CLASS
The following pages provide a brief profile of the 2007-08 class of Bryn Mawr postbac students as well as more detailed statistics on our students over a five-year period — where they earned their undergraduate degrees and where they matriculated to medical school.
Age Range
The 76 students in our class of 2007-08 range in age from 22 to 37 years. Of these,
- 6 are age 30 and over
- 35 are between 25-29
- 35 are between 22-24
Geographic Distribution
- 21 are from the northeast
- 19 are from the mid-Atlantic
- 12 are from the mid-west
- 4 are from the south
- 20 are from the west
In addition, 20 students have educational, professional or volunteer experience abroad.
Undergraduate Education
The 2007-08 class graduated from 44 different colleges and universities. Of these,
- 28 attended Ivy League institutions
- 13 attended small liberal arts colleges
- 35 attended large universities
Eighteen students earned a degree in two majors. Ten have graduate degrees.
Professional and Life Experience
Overall, the class has broad and diverse experience in a variety of fields, including teaching, research, medical services, financial services, engineering, the arts, and law.
