PROFILE OF THE 2013-14 CLASS
The following information provides a brief profile of the 2014-15 class of Bryn Mawr postbac students as well as more detailed statistics on our students over a five-year period—where they earned their undergraduate degrees and where they matriculated to medical school.
The students in our class of 2014-15 range in age from 22 to 38 years.
5% are age 30
36% are between 25-29
59% are between 22-24
34% are from the northeast
25% are from the mid-Atlantic
10% are from the mid-west
17% are from the south
14% are from the west
There are no international students in the 2014-2015 postbac class.
The 2014-15 class graduated from 45 different colleges and universities. Of these,
37% attended small liberal-arts colleges
37% attended Ivy League institutions
26% attended large universities
16% have graduate degrees.
Professional and Life Experience
Overall, the 2014-15 class has broad and diverse experience in a variety of fields, including teaching, research, medical services, financial services, engineering, the arts, and law. There are members of the postbac class who have served in the Peace Corps, Teach for America, AmeriCorps, City Year, World Teach for China, and the military, and there are several certified EMTS and many who have had significant professional or volunteer experience abroad. This class also includes postbacs who have been Fulbright Scholars and a Fellow for the Clinton Foundation.
