

PROFILE OF THE 2012-13 CLASS
The following information provides a brief profile of the 2012-13 class of Bryn Mawr postbac students as well as more detailed statistics on our students over a five-year period—where they earned their undergraduate degrees and where they matriculated to medical school.
Age Range
The students in our class of 2012-13 range in age from 22 to 34 years.
Of these,
5% are age 30 and over
38% are between 25-29
57% are between 21-24
Geographic Distribution
24% are from the northeast
40% are from the mid-Atlantic
12% are from the mid-west
7% are from the south
16% are from the west
1% are international students.
Undergraduate Education
The 2012-13 class graduated from 51 different colleges and universities. Of these,
29% attended small liberal-arts colleges
30% attended Ivy League institutions
41% attended large universities
14% have graduate degrees.
Professional and Life Experience
Overall, the 2012-13 class has broad and diverse experience in a variety of fields, including teaching, research, medical services, financial services, engineering, the arts, and law. There are members of the postbac class who have been in the Peace Corps, Teach for America, AmeriCorps, and there are several certified EMTS and many who have had significant professional or volunteer experience abroad.
