Procedures and Calendar for Reappointment of Continuing Non-Tenure Track Faculty

This table provides an overview of and calendar for the steps in a reappointment review of continuing non-tenure track members of the faculty.

Abbreviations used include: CA for the Committee on Appointments, CNTT for continuing non-tenure track faculty, and HC for HC College.

It is important to read the following sections, which provide the necessary details on the review process and requirements:

  • The department chair requests a recommendation on reappointment from the chair of any counterpart department or from other HC colleagues and provides the HC name(s) to the Provost's Office.
  • The Provost's Office sends one copy of the candidate's dossier to the HC counterpart.
  • By September 1By September 1Provost's OfficeCommunity letters The Provost's Office notifies via e-mail all faculty members, staff members, and students of the candidates to be reviewed by CA in the coming semester, indicating that anyone may submit a written opinion on any case.
