With the exception of those animals which are part of the teaching and research of the Departments of Psychology and Biology or animals which assist the disabled, animals, including--but not limited to--dogs, cats, other large and small mammals, birds, and reptiles are not permitted in offices, classrooms and residential halls, Moreover, dogs are not permitted on any portion of campus unless they are on a hand-held leash. The College has enacted this policy in the interests of those members of the community who have allergies to animals, to avoid possible liability issues (if a pet were to attack a member of the community), and to maintain the cleanliness of campus facilities.
