Backup Adult Care

The College offers a program to faculty and staff that provides in-home backup adult care at a subsidized hourly rate using a national network of home healthcare providers.  The care is provided in the adult needing care.

Backup care is available during the day or evening, seven days a week. Services are provided by Parents in a Pinch, Inc., www.parentsinapinch.com.

Phebe Anna Thorne School

The Phebe Anna Thorne School is a Preschool and Kindergarten that is located within the campus of Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges. It was established in 1952 as a laboratory nursery school at Bryn Mawr College. The Thorne School offers a developmentally oriented, child-centered program in which children develop a sense of competence and well-being within the group through play, problem-solving and social interaction.
