Registering for Courses at the University of Pennsylvania 

Fall 2008

 General Instructions are available at  http://www.sas.upenn.edu/cgs/reciprocal/. 

The University of Pennsylvania will begin processing course requests after Preregistration at Penn closes in mid-August.  Bryn Mawr students do not have priority in classes in accordance with the Consortium Agreement.

The following dates and procedures that apply for Bryn Mawr students only:

• Pre-register for the Generic Penn Course (Course number 1085 for the first course; 1086 for the second course.) Students who do not register for the generic course will not be notified of updates in Penn registration procedures.
• Submit completed Quaker Consortium Registration Forms to the Dean's Office for approval. 
• Bryn Mawr students are allowed to enroll in undergraduate courses offered by the College of General Studies or the College of Arts and Sciences.  Be sure to clearly indicate the subject, catalog and section numbers for your course on your form.  For example: KORN 011 401.  Forms without complete course information will not be processed by the College of General Studies.
• Registration forms are due to the Dean's Office by Friday, September 5, 2008.***

Students need to follow all the procedures defined in the Quaker Consortium Program Registration Instructions and outlined below:

• Complete the registration form and take it to the Dean's Office for approval by Friday, September 5, 2008.
• After receiving the confirming email from Penn, get a PennCard and PennKey Setup Code at the PennCard Center (Rm 150, 3451 Walnut St.)
• Use the PennKey Setup Code to register a PennKey and password at http://www.upenn.edu/computing/pennkey/
• Be sure to update your email address at http://www.upenn.edu/directories/.  This step is required for billing and for instructors to contact students.
• Verify registration by logging on to PennInTouch at https://sentry.isc.upenn.edu/intouch/.
• Remember that Bryn Mawr students are financially responsible for any course fees associated with your class.
