Probing the Energies of the Highest Vibrational Levels of the State of
Resonantly-enhanced multi-photon ionization (REMPI) spectra through various rotational levels of the E,g, v′ = 6 state are recorded by detecting ion production as a function of energy using a time of flight mass spectrometer. Term energies and rotational constants for high vibrational levels of the state of are measured and compared to previous experimental measurements and theoretical ab initio non-adiabatic calculations of the first six levels of. Previously, term energies and rotational constants for the v = 67 − 69 vibrational levels were reported and we hope to extend this work by reporting on the v = 50 – 66 . Taken in full, these measurements will impact efforts to produce a fully integrated theoretical treatment of dissociation and ionization in this energy region.
