Career Changers Program
If you’re considering a career change, here’s an opportunity to “get a taste” of what social work education is all about. This course is open to the public and is taught by our full-time faculty.
As one of the very first social work schools in the nation, Bryn Mawr's MSS (Master of Social Service) degree is equivalent in both licensure and use to the MSW degree. The MSS program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
The Law and Social Policy program is designed for professionals in social work, and in other human service professions, or in public administration and policy analysis related to social welfare. The degree may be pursued concurrently with the MSS or as a post-master’s program.
PhD applicants are expected to have Master's-level training in social work or a closely allied field. Experience in social work practice is desirable as well. Applicants to the PhD program are required to submit the results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all applicants whose native language is not English.
Bryn Mawr College does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, age, or disability in the administration of its educational and admissions policies, scholarship, loan, athletic, and other College-administered programs.
