Introduction to Graduate Social Work Education
When: November 4th, 11th, 18th, December 2nd and 9th
Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research
- This course is designed for individuals considering a graduate degree in social work. Prospective students may have some work or volunteer experience in the social service field. Others may have no experience. The course provides an opportunity for students to learn the fundamental components of this field.
- To give participants a better understanding of the profession, the course also includes agency visits.
- The curriculum includes presentations by current faculty on foundation courses including Practice, Policy, Human Behavior, Research for Social Work Practice, and Field Instruction. Using case presentations and selected agency visits, students will explore the various components of social work practice.
- The cost is of this 5 session program is $200.00.
