Some funding through the Dean's Office may be available to fund independent summer research. To have your summer research project considered for funding, please complete the Dean's Summer Funding Application.
In order for your research project to be considered for funding, you must have a very strong research proposal that includes a detailed summer schedule, and a faculty member (or members) who will be available over the summer for you to consult with regarding your independent research. For research in a foreign country, you must have a supervisor who will be present and available to you in that country while you are conducting the research. For your application, one Recommendation MUST be written by your faculty adviser.
Note that proposed research projects on human subjects must be approved by the College Institutional Review Board prior to receiving College funding.
