Program Faculty

Paul Burgmayer, Director and Instructor (Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry, University of North Carolina , Chapel Hill ) is relishing his second career as a teacher of chemistry at Great Valley High School in Malvern PA. Previously a research chemist and manager at Polaroid Corporation and Betz Laboratories, Dr. Burgmayer brings a wealth of practical experience in the discovery process with 14 papers and 10 patents in his former areas of research. His current research includes professional development work with high school teachers and students on how to integrate students’ perspectives on their learning needs into school reform efforts.

Administrators

Jean Lacovara, the Coordinator of Science for College, is also Information Services, Assistant Director, Communications, Planning, and Research, at Bryn Mawr College.

Alison Cook-Sather, the Director of the Bryn Mawr/Haverford Education Program, serves as a consultant for Science for College.
