Bryn Mawr offers summer courses in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Calculus. These courses are divided into two five-week sessions. Although many of the students in these courses are drawn from the Bryn Mawr Postbaccalaureate Premedical program, there are also Bryn Mawr undergraduates and other students in some of the courses.
$ 2,320 per course (plus fees)
An on-campus residence hall is available for a limited number of summer school students. A full session commitment is required for the on-campus housing. Room and board is the only available option and is billed on a full session basis. Campus housing is available to summer school students, except those of high school age. If you wish to live in on-campus housing during summer school, please check the appropriate box on the registration form by April 15, 2009. (Housing requests received after April 16 are not guaranteed and will be accommodated when space becomes available). You will be billed for room and board at the same time you are billed for tuition and fees. A few weeks before classes begin, you will receive a letter from the Conferences and Events Office with information on where you will be housed, when you can check in, and where to pick up a key and meal card.
A $100 cancellation fee will be assessed for withdrawal from summer housing between April 25 and May 5. Additional fees may be assessed for withdrawal between May 5 and May 26, 2009. No refunds will be made after the session begins. Please email Marian Brill (mbrill@brynmawr.edu) if your plans change and you no longer require on-campus housing.
Courses with less than five students registered by April 15 for Session I and June 9 for Session II are subject to cancellation.
Laboratories will be held on the first day of class.
It is not necessary to purchase books prior to the first class.
Library services are available at the Canaday Library, the Carpenter Library and the Collier Science Library.
Parking is available on campus in designated lots.
Available athletic facilities include the Schwartz Gymnasium with a fitness center, weight room, indoor pool, and outdoor tennis courts.
*The Bryn Mawr academic community is governed by an honor code by which all students are expected to abide. A copy of the honor code can be found at:
