Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky, Inc. (RROKI) is an all volunteer, non-profit organization based in Louisville, Kentucky that travels all over the state picking up sick, injured, and orphaned birds of prey. They receive no government funds, have no major corporate sponsors, and rely solely on donations from the public to pay for the food, housing, and medical attention for the raptors that they take in.
Unfunded internships are available year-round to interested individuals. No previous experience is necessary, but dedication and enthusiasm are a must! Interns are expected to work six days a week and will gain in depth experience at every facet of raptor rehabilitation. Duties include (but are not limited to):
