Zipcar,
the world’s largest 24/7 car-sharing service, has added a location on the Bryn
Mawr College campus to offer Bryn Mawr students, faculty and staff a convenient
and eco-friendly way to get around. The Zipcar fleet at Bryn Mawr includes one
Toyota Prius (named Predator, after the College’s mascot) and one Scion xB
(named Brynnie), which are parked in the Radnor parking lot in two space closest
to the sidewalk.
To
reserve a car your must be age 18 or older, meet Zipcar’s eligibility
requirement, and join Zipcar using a debit or credit card to pay the annual
membership fee of $35. The initial $35 annual membership fee is applied as a
credit toward reservations in your first month. Members of Zipcar from Bryn Mawr
College who are between the ages of 18 and 20 may only reserve and use vehicles
that Zipcar maintains on the College’s campus. Zipcar permits users 21 and over
to reserve and use vehicles maintained at any Zipcar location. To join Zipcar,
you must read all terms of membership and follow Zipcar’s application
procedures, which can be found on the Zipcar website at the links
below.
All
memberships, reservations and payments are administered and managed by
Zipcar.

Zipcar
provides limited insurance coverage for its members. Insurance amounts and
limitations of coverage can be found on the Zipcar website, at the link below.
It is important to note that coverage amounts vary depending upon the age of
the member, and may be insufficient to cover your expenses in the event of
property damage or personal injury to you or others. Further, using a Zipcar in
any manner that Zipcar deems a “Prohibited Use,” including, but not limited to,
using the car “in an imprudent, negligent, or abusive manner,” will void any
coverage that Zipcar offers.
It
is essential that you read all of Zipcar’s insurance information, information
about potential liability for damages and third party claims, and Zipcar’s list

before applying for membership to Zipcar.
