MAWR COLLEGE CATERING POLICY
Bryn
Mawr College Dining Services and Wyndham are responsible
for providing all food service in public spaces
at the College. Any other continuing arrangement
for the provision of food service at the College
must be authorized by the Director of Auxiliary
Services.
The Director of Dining Services may grant exemptions
to the policy on a per event basis for a duration
of one day if the following conditions are met:
a) Dining Services and Wyndham cannot provide
the service requested or decline to do so.
b) The organization or person making the request
obtains and maintains the following during the
time the exemption is granted:
- All permits and licenses necessary to operate
the food services to be provided.
- Liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000
for the service of food for the time of exemption
with the College as one of the named insured.
c) The organization or person making the request
signs an indemnification agreement with the College
that releases the College from any liability flowing
from the service of food covered by the exemption.
d) The organization or person making the request
must obtain a Request
for Food/Beverage Waiver form from the
Office of Conferences and Events and return the
completed form at least TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE of
when the event is scheduled to occur.
e) Any organization or person who is granted permission
to use an outside caterer must have an Insurance
and Indemnification Agreement completed
and submitted to the Office of Conferences and
Events 48 hours prior to the event.
Any request to waive all or any of these conditions
or to review or appeal the decision of the Director
of Dining Services shall be made to the Director
of Auxiliary Services who shall have final decision
making authority.
These rules and guidelines apply to food service
in all public spaces. Anyone providing food service
will be expected to:
1.
Set up the necessary tables and chairs prior to
the event.
2. Return the room to its original state after
the event.
3. Remove all trash generated by the food service
provided.
No
catering exemptions shall be granted for events
to be held in Wyndham, Erdman, Haffner, or Rhoads
Dining Halls, or the Campus Center Café.
Under no circumstances will outside food services
providers be granted use of or access to any of
the College's commercial kitchens or the equipment
contained in those kitchens.
