BRYN MAWR COLLEGE CATERING POLICY

Bryn Mawr College Dining Services and Wyndham are responsible for providing all food service in public spaces at the College. Any other continuing arrangement for the provision of food service at the College must be authorized by the Director of Auxiliary Services.
The Director of Dining Services may grant exemptions to the policy on a per event basis for a duration of one day if the following conditions are met:
a) Dining Services and Wyndham cannot provide the service requested or decline to do so.
b) The organization or person making the request obtains and maintains the following during the time the exemption is granted:
- All permits and licenses necessary to operate the food services to be provided.
- Liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for the service of food for the time of exemption with the College as one of the named insured.
c) The organization or person making the request signs an indemnification agreement with the College that releases the College from any liability flowing from the service of food covered by the exemption.
d) The organization or person making the request must obtain a Request for Food/Beverage Waiver form from the Office of Conferences and Events and return the completed form at least TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE of when the event is scheduled to occur.
e) Any organization or person who is granted permission to use an outside caterer must have an Insurance and Indemnification Agreement completed and submitted to the Office of Conferences and Events 48 hours prior to the event.
Any request to waive all or any of these conditions or to review or appeal the decision of the Director of Dining Services shall be made to the Director of Auxiliary Services who shall have final decision making authority.
These rules and guidelines apply to food service in all public spaces. Anyone providing food service will be expected to:

1. Set up the necessary tables and chairs prior to the event.
2. Return the room to its original state after the event.
3. Remove all trash generated by the food service provided.

No catering exemptions shall be granted for events to be held in Wyndham, Erdman, Haffner, or Rhoads Dining Halls, or the Campus Center Café. Under no circumstances will outside food services providers be granted use of or access to any of the College's commercial kitchens or the equipment contained in those kitchens.
