Bryn Mawr College invites qualified women and men from the community to take courses without undertaking a degree program.
Students who enroll in the Continuing Education Program come from a wide variety of educational backgrounds, ages, and experience. Their purposes for continuing education include
- Updating their background in a field
- Exploring a new field
- Preparing for undergraduate study (high-school students)
- Preparing for graduate study
- Pursuing a topic of interest
The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research also operates an extensive post-master's program for social workers and mental-health professionals; it offers credit for licensure renewal and certification in several specialties.
- Undergraduate Courses in Arts and Sciences for qualified members of the community, including advanced high-school students
- Graduate Courses in Arts and Sciences for qualified members of the community who have earned a baccalaureate degree
- Graduate Courses in Social Work for qualified members of the community who have earned a baccalaureate degree
- Post-Master's continuing education for social workers and mental-health professionals through the Center for Professional Development. Note: The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research Center for Professional Development has planned a full lineup of fully online synchronous virtual trainings (via Zoom) for the 2020-2021 program year.
