Continuing Education

Continuing Education at Bryn Mawr College
We regretfully announce that policies put in place regarding COVID prohibit us from accepting undergraduate Continuing Education students in Academic Year 2020-2021.

Bryn Mawr College invites qualified women and men from the community to take courses without undertaking a degree program.

Students who enroll in the Continuing Education Program come from a wide variety of educational backgrounds, ages, and experience. Their purposes for continuing education include

  • Updating their background in a field
  • Exploring a new field
  • Preparing for undergraduate study (high-school students)
  • Preparing for graduate study
  • Pursuing a topic of interest

The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research also operates an extensive post-master's program for social workers and mental-health professionals; it offers credit for licensure renewal and certification in several specialties.

  • Undergraduate Courses in Arts and Sciences for qualified members of the community, including advanced high-school students
  • Graduate Courses in Arts and Sciences for qualified members of the community who have earned a baccalaureate degree
  • Graduate Courses in Social Work for qualified members of the community who have earned a baccalaureate degree
  • Post-Master's continuing education for social workers and mental-health professionals through the Center for Professional Development. Note: The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research Center for Professional Development has planned a full lineup of fully online synchronous virtual trainings (via Zoom) for the 2020-2021 program year.
