During their junior year Bryn Mawr students have the opportunity to pursue coursework overseas in order to:
- Intimately experience another culture,
- Master a foreign language,
- Take interesting courses at world-renowned institutions of higher education, and/or
- Deepen their knowledge of subject areas in an international context.
In recent years, Bryn Mawr students have studied in more than 30 countries across six continents through more than 70 partnering study abroad programs and overseas institutions. In addition to international programs, Bryn Mawr also offers a domestic exchange with Spelman College, a historically black liberal arts women’s college in Atlanta, Georgia.
Study Abroad staff are available to help guide students through every step of the study abroad process—from assessing their program options to logistical planning of going abroad and returning to Bryn Mawr. Staff also assist students with navigating the application and enrollment processes, providing estimates for financial aid award for study abroad, and planning for summer study abroad opportunities.
