YASP does other great work to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline, to get people civically engaged in low-income and usually unrepresented communities, and to break the cycle of violence (as a result of systemic racism) in primarily Black communities in Philadelphia. "A Night With YASP" is an open-mic event to raise awareness for this organization and to help connect YASP to the Bryn Mawr community.
