Day 1: Friday, March 6, 2020

Following your arrival in Berlin, enjoy a short tour and history of the hotel, a converted Siemens building. Then join an orientation stroll through the neighborhood to Potsdamer Platz, learning about it historical changes, from being Europe’s busiest square to an empty wasteland after WWII, and its transformation into a bustling new area with innovative architecture and design.

Visit Panoramapunkt, a 25th-floor viewing point with breathtaking views of the city’s most famous landmarks. Later, enjoy a welcome reception and dinner.

Day 2: Saturday, March 7, 2020

Enjoy a thorough tour by bus of the city’s most well known and beloved sights, including the Berlin Wall, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, the East German Government Quarter, and grand Unter den Linden Boulevard, and learn about the city and its architecture.

Tour the Reichstag building and Sir Norman Foster’s iconic glass dome, taking in sunset views from the dome and dining at the Reichstag rooftop restaurant.

Day 3: Sunday, March 8, 2020

Berlin is a hub of technology and innovation. Meet with expats in the startup world.

Then we will focus on art with a visit to Museum Island and tour of two of Berlin’s top museums, the Pergamon & New Museums. VIP entrance and lunch are included.

After, you will have a local orientation to Berlin to prepare you to explore on your own. Later, enjoy an evening concert with one of the city’s many cultural organizations.

Day 4: Monday, March 9, 2020

The city is yours to explore on this free day. Our local guide will discuss options, book arrangements, and provide information and assistance as needed.

Optional excursions (at a fee) include: Sachsenhausen concentration camp, Dresden, Jewish Museum of Berlin, or other themed Berlin tours (Third Reich, Cold War, Jewish Berlin).

Day 5: Tuesday, March 10, 2020

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Potsdam with its beautiful parks and historical buildings. Tour the opulent Sanssouci Palace, Germany’s version of Versailles.

Also visit Cecilienhof Palace, Russian colony Androvka (a 19th-century heritage village with a dozen wooden houses built for Russian singer soldiers), and the Dutch Quarter, Europe’s largest development of Dutch-style houses outside of the Netherlands, built in the 1730s to attract Dutch builders and craftsmen.

The day will end with a farewell reception and dinner.

Day 6: Wednesday, March 11, 2020

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.S. or travel on to London to participate in the International Forum. For those traveling to London, a transfer will be available from the airport to central London.
