Hallie Novak is a junior French major from the Berkshires region of Massachusetts. Hallie enjoys photography, traveling, reading, experimenting with recipes, and good coffee. As a Rockefeller resident this year, she lives in a lively hall in a cozy room with a fireplace and a view of the spire of Goodhart Hall. When she's not in her room studying, you can find her exploring Philadelphia with friends, in Old Library or in Carpenter -- her favorite library on campus. Paola is a junior independent major in public health, and a Posse Scholar. She is interested in how health and social justice interconnect. Paola is currently embarking in a semester abroad in three countries, and she is excited to share her experiences with the Banter Blog readers.
Maria is a local Mawrter from West Philadelphia who loves the intricacies of art and social justice. Maria (she/her pronouns) is a junior Sociology major who hopes to create honest, critical, and empowering dialogue among students on and off campus. Maria's other interests include: brewing coffee at Uncommon Grounds; writing ideas for Banter blogs on old receipts; dancing with RnM; or dreaming up ideas for her CDA position in Erdman!
Amelia is a geology and math double major from rural, southern Illinois near St. Louis, Missouri. She loves music, science, dance, math, words, and visual arts, and also has a growing obsession with the sea. Among Amelia's collection of books, fairy tales and field guides dominate, followed by books on language, writing, and words, books of poetry, books about ships, and books about Joan of Arc. Currently Amelia's favorite word is anachronistic

Rachel is a junior from Minneapolis, MN. Her lifelong passion for storytelling inspired her to become an English major, while her interest in travel and cross-cultural communication spurred her to pursue a Spanish minor. Rachel is excited to rediscover her love for Bryn Mawr after a semester abroad in Ecuador. In her free time, she enjoys walks, reading, journaling, and working on creative projects. Favorite campus spots include English House and the enormous cherry tree behind Rhoads.
Mayisha Rahman ‘21 is an international student from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is an intended Biology major and feels very strongly about the human mind. She loves trying out new places to eat, exploring different cities and tries to connect her life here in the US with her life back home.
