Maria is a local Mawrter from West Philadelphia who loves the intricacies of art and social justice. Maria (she/her pronouns) is a junior Sociology major who hopes to create honest, critical, and empowering dialogue among students on and off campus. Maria's other interests include: brewing coffee at Uncommon Grounds; writing ideas for Banter blogs on old receipts; dancing with RnM; or dreaming up ideas for her CDA position in Erdman!
Rachel is a senior from Minneapolis, MN. Her lifelong passion for storytelling inspired her to become an English major, while her interest in travel and cross-cultural communication spurred her to pursue a Spanish minor. In her free time, she enjoys walks, reading, journaling, and working on creative projects. Favorite campus spots include English House and the enormous cherry tree behind Rhoads.
Mayisha Rahman ‘21 is an international student from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is an intended Biology major and feels very strongly about the human mind. She loves trying out new places to eat, exploring different cities and tries to connect her life here in the U.S. with her life back home. Liz Marchini '21 is a sophomore from a suburb of New York City, so she’s no stranger to the idea of taking advantage of a nearby metropolis! A Political Science major and a Global Asian Studies minor, Liz loves to explore the world and learn everything she can about people, places, governments, and histories. In her free time, she loves to cook, sing, read and listen to music.
Umme Tanjuma Haque '21 is a sophomore international student from Bangladesh who is studying Computer Science at Bryn Mawr. Tanjuma is a Customs Person and plans to be a Hall Advisor next year. She is an avid reader who likes collecting books more than she likes reading them. Most of the time you can find her doing homework in Lusty Cup or working at the Help Desk. During her spare time, she enjoys binge-watching Netflix shows or sketching portraits. She secretly loves meeting new people and her passion is to encourage education, specifically technical skills like coding, in developing countries. Tanjuma also has a hidden talent: she can do mirror-writing like Leonardo da Vinci!
Alex Kelly '22 is a freshman from Houston, Texas. She loves traveling and adventure, and took a gap year to travel around the world and work aboard a 19th century schooner. She spends most of her free time starting various art projects, writing short stories, or attending lectures around campus.
