Engaging Bryn Mawr’s Histories
March 1, 2019
Session I: 2-3 p.m.
Session II: 3:15-4:15
“Engaging Bryn Mawr’s Histories,” the first Community Day of Learning for spring semester 2019, invites community members to explore some aspect of Bryn Mawr’s histories. These may be histories that are difficult to acknowledge or those that are exciting or admirable; histories that are not well known today, as well as those that are more familiar; histories of our built environment; public art/ monuments, people (students, faculty, staff, alumnae/i), or programs.
We encourage sessions that expand what we know about our pasts, invite us to ask questions about those pasts, and help us reflect on our innovations, failures, exclusions, and successes.
For the March 1 Community Day of Learning, sessions will be offered during two one-hour time blocks (2-3 p.m. and 3:15-4:15 p.m.).
