Dear Bryn Mawr Community,
This year’s Community Day of Learning will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. For those of you who are new to Bryn Mawr, the Community Day of Learning (CDL) began in 2015 and is an occasion when the entire community—students, faculty, and staff—gathers to learn and to explore an issue important to our goals of ensuring equity and inclusion at the College (and beyond). Classes are cancelled and offices are closed so that all can participate. Our topic in 2015 was “Race and Racism at Bryn Mawr and Beyond,” and the 2016 program was titled “In/Visible: Class on Campus, Class in Our Lives.” If you are interested in getting a better sense of the range of programming, you can find information about last year’s CDL here.
As in the past, the CDL will be crowd-sourced. Any interested member of the community is welcome to join the CDL Planning Committee, which will hold its first meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 20 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the Gateway Building Conference Room. If you are interested in participating in the planning process but cannot attend the first meeting, please email Liz Roan in the President’s Office (email@example.com) so we can get your name on the planning committee mailing list.
I look forward to working with everyone on this year’s event.
