Departmental Information Sessions

Several departments and programs are hosting virtual information sessions (sometimes called major teas) this fall, open to current and prospective majors and minors. Many of these pages include links that will remain accessible after the session date/time.

Departmental Information Sessions provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the following:

  • Departmental requirements and opportunities
  • Course offerings
  • Major advising
  • Other important topics

This year, some departments will be providing information to students in other venues as well. We'll post that information as it comes in!

Any student considering majoring in a particular field should try to attend the relevant information sessions. Many first and second-year students attend two to four of these events.

The Dean's Office posts information about each Major Tea/Info Session as soon as we receive it. Department chairs and department administrative assistants may also have information about teas, and students are free to contact them with any questions.
