A Conversation with Bree Newsome

Thursday, Feb 28, 2019 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Location

Old Library
Great Hall
In celebration of Black History Month, join us for an evening with the activist, filmmaker, musician, and celebrated voice on the front lines of the fight for justice and racial equality.

To protest the murder of nine black parishioners at Mother Emmanuel Church, Bree Newsome climbed the South Carolina State House flagpole and pulled down the Confederate Battle flag that flew there.
