November 27, 2018
Earlier this month, I hosted a Town Hall during which community members could learn more about the College’s plans for the new Student Life and Wellness building, our reaccreditation process, and the College’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Framework, which I announced at the beginning of the semester.
The Town Hall occurred during the 9-5 workday so that staff and faculty could attend. I recognize that this schedule conflicts with academic commitments for some of you, so I am inviting you to a similar update to be held on Thursday, December 6th in Great Hall, 7:30-8:30 pm.
I will speak about the draft framework for equity and inclusion. Provost Mary Osirim will give an update on the College’s reaccreditation process. We will have time for discussion following our remarks.
We will not be sharing plans for the Student Life and Wellness building on this occasion since there will be a separate opportunity from 10 am to 4 pm in the Campus Center on December 6th for students to view the plans, ask questions and provide feedback to colleagues in Facilities who are staffing this project.
I hope you will join Mary and me in Great Hall on December 6th.
With best wishes,
