The event features speaker Judge Virgil B. Walker of Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. There will be performances by Barry Sames and Lynn Willis. The recipients of the association’s 2020-21 scholarships will also be introduced.
Kim Cassidy, president of Bryn Mawr College, will give the welcome address, and Brian Turner of Eastern University will emcee.
The Main Line Martin Luther King Association was formed in 1983 in the pursuit of building a conscious awareness of the contributions of Martin Luther King on the Main Line. Its purpose is to make Dr. King’s dream of social and racial equality and freedom from discrimination a reality on the Main Line and in giving scholarships to worthy high school students going on to higher education.
