U.S. citizens and permanent residents admitted to Bryn Mawr College as first-time undergraduate students are eligible for the Bryn Mawr Merit Scholarship or the Bryn Mawr Presidential Scholarship regardless of demonstrated need. No additional application is required. Applicants are evaluated through a holistic review process of materials including, but not limited to, academic coursework and performance, involvement in school and community, leadership qualities, letters of recommendation, quality and content of writing, and potential to contribute in meaningful ways to the Bryn Mawr community.

These scholarships range from $12,000-$30,000 per year and are awarded for a maximum of eight semesters. They are renewable provided that the student is enrolled full-time at Bryn Mawr. Scholarships are non-negotiable and only awarded at the time of admission. The Bryn Mawr Merit Scholarship and the Bryn Mawr Presidential Scholarship, in conjunction with other sources of financial aid and entitlements, cannot exceed the cost of attendance.
