"I began studying French in Intensive Elementary and completed the major in 2014.  After graduating, I worked in a French art gallery (Galerie DUMONTEIL) in Shanghai, to really embrace my interest in art. During my two-year experience as the gallery manager, I had great opportunities to work with some renowned French artists, and helped them to promote their artworks in China. One of the most rewarding experiences was to organize exhibitions for the porcelains of Manufacture de Sèvres in Hong Kong and several cities in mainland China. The French Studies program at Bryn Mawr helped me to build strong language skills, and more importantly, to gain a deep understanding of French culture. These open the door to more opportunities to work internationally, and gave me the confidence and strength to serve as a liaison between different cultures." -Mengyun Tan
