The Graduate Group in Science and Mathematics (GGSM) joins the graduate programs in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics to provide an interdisciplinary environment for sharing research, facilitating collaboration and professional development.

Faculty and students meet for regular Professional Development Seminars (PDS), in which a graduate students and members of the faculty offer insights and advice about various aspects of professional practice. The PDS is run by the mathematics department, with one graduate student and one faculty member appointed as organizers.

In the past, the GGSM has sponsored a Journal Club, in which graduate students from different disciplines would meet to discuss interdisciplinary articles.
