Director of Multilingual Writing, Bryn Mawr College, Full-Time
Bryn Mawr College seeks a Director of Multilingual Writing to lead ongoing program development for multilingual students, especially international students, who make up approximately twenty percent of the student body. The Director teaches three courses per year, including writing-intensive courses for multilingual writers at the beginning and intermediate level. Occasional teaching in the first-year college-wide writing seminar program is possible. The successful candidate will also organize testing and placement for first-year international students; consult with faculty around issues of multilingual pedagogy; work individually with students in the Writing Center; and develop co-curricular activities for multilingual writers. The position, defined as professional staff with teaching, starts on August 1, 2021.
Ph.D in English, Rhet/Comp, Linguistics, Second Language Studies or related fields preferred. The successful candidate will have experience teaching multilingual writers; knowledge of writing pedagogy; and experience in program oversight and development.
