Monographs Acquisitions Librarian

Bryn Mawr College Libraries invites applications for its Monographs Acquisitions Librarian within the Library & Information Technology Services group. The position coordinates electronic and print book and book package acquisitions. Works with Tri-College Libraries’ (with Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges) colleagues to manage the joint approval program and its policies and procedures. Using a variety of domestic and international sources, manages the acquisition of individual print and electronic books via the libraries’ order request tracking system. Collaborates with the Libraries’ Electronic Resources and Serials Librarian where electronic package purchasing overlaps as well as in the management of items in monographic series. Using Ex Libris’ Integrated Library System, Alma, manages workflows related to Acquisitions and creates policies and procedures for the same. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced professional looking to advance their career, or a recent graduate of a Master’s program in Library and Information Science (MLIS) who is interested in developing a career in library Acquisitions.
