In designing an athletics logo, Bryn Mawr College athletes, staff members, and the student body sought a representation of an owl that would convey pride, respect, competitiveness as well as confidence, but not arrogance.
With the creation of the Bryn Mawr Athletics logo and its variations, the athletic department ceased using the College Seal on all athletic publications including game programs, media guides, and the website.
