What: Assemble toiletry kits for homeless individuals and clients of the People's Emergency Center
PEC is the oldest and most comprehensive agency serving homeless women, teen girls, and their children in Pennsylvania.
Since 1972, PEC has helped hundreds of abused, abandoned, and homeless women and children to rebuild lives of dignity through programs that focus on education, job readiness, and independent, healthy living.
Most of the women, children and teen girls served by PEC arrive with a limited supply of clothing and personal care items.
They are probably the last things on their minds, that is why upon arrival at PEC they like to provide every family with a welcome package.
In addition, every month members of the Saints Memorial Baptist Church Outreach and Missions Program distribute clothing and personal care items to homeless individuals who are living on the streets of Philadelphia and the Main Line.
