The Bryn Mawr College Archives acts as the final repository for the historical analog and digital records of Bryn Mawr from its founding in 1885 to the present day, as well as provides leadership and expertise in the management of the College’s records in all formats. We collect materials created by students, faculty, staff, alumnae/-i, and administrators that reflect campus and academic life at the College. Both the presence and absence of collected primary source materials help to provide researchers with answers to specific questions about College history, as well as to explore broad social and cultural issues such as women’s education, feminism, student activism, and social justice. We offer pedagogical and research support in order to enrich the educational missions of Bryn Mawr College and its Special Collections.
The College Archives commits to developing and leading a stewardship model for creating a more intrinsically inclusive, intersectional, and evolving representation of Bryn Mawr College and its communities.
