We created the Nonprofit Ascending Leadership Certificate (ALC) program to prepare middle managers for the great leap in mindset that must occur when they move from managing a department to leading an organization.
This program is focused on analyzing organizational systems and business functions. Workshops target the organization's culture, strategic planning, leadership development, the strength of its financial systems and infrastructure, and organizational accountability.
Jane Kim, class of 2020 and Program Director at Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center, shared:
The first Ascending leadership class was the most diverse group of people I have ever been around in my entire life. It was diverse in experience, it was diverse in gender, diverse in race, diverse in mission, diverse in people’s length of career, and age. I loved it.
Though it was virtual, it was very engaging. I was equally impressed that even though it was virtual, people were vulnerable and they took risks in vulnerability in sharing things: failures, successes, lessons, being reflective, being teachable, engaging with each others learning process.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of three years of professional experience that includes direct supervision responsibilities.
