This important initiative for First Generation students at the College draws on the Pensby Fellowship of Yeidaly Mejia and Praxis coursework by Yeidaly and Alex Berndt. Each year, first generation students can apply to participate and be connected with a mentor. First and second year students are paired with a student mentor; third and fourth year participants have a faculty/staff mentor. The program aims to provide support, resources, community and career guidance to its participants.
In 2018-19, the program will be coordinated by Yeidaly Mejia '19 (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Aldercy Lam '19 (email@example.com), with support from Dean Christman (firstname.lastname@example.org; 610-526-6594).
