This important initiative for First-Generation students at the College draws on the Pensby Fellowship of Yeidaly Mejia and Praxis coursework by Yeidaly and Alex Berndt. Each year, first-generation students can apply to participate and be connected with a mentor. First and second year students are paired with a student mentor; third and fourth year participants have a faculty/staff mentor. The program aims to provide support, resources, community and career guidance to its participants.
