Alex Pfundt is the subject librarian for education, health studies, psychology, and social work and coordinates the libraries' information literacy program. Prior to arriving at Bryn Mawr, Alex worked as a health sciences librarian at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, providing information services for clinical care and research programs. He has also held positions at Temple University Libraries and Thomson Reuters.
Alex is leading an initiative to partner with academic departments on integrating and assessing sequenced information literacy instruction across the curriculum. His interests include the library's evolving role in teaching and learning and fostering librarian-faculty collaboration on developing student-centered approaches to teaching disciplinary information practices. He is currently working on an M.A. in Educational Psychology from the University of Alabama.
