Detailed Biography:
Daniel Torday’s debut novel The Last Flight of Poxl West is published in paperback from Picador. New York Times chief critic Michiko Kakutani said the book "announces Torday's emergence as a writer deserving of attention," and The New York Times Book Review called the novel, “Expertly crafted and utterly accomplished." A two-time winner of the National Jewish Book Award for fiction, Torday’s stories and essays have appeared in The New York Times, NPR, Esquire, Tin House, The Paris Review and many other publications. His second novel, Boomer1, was published in 2018. A film adaptation is currently in development.
Torday holds a B.A. from Kenyon College and an M.F.A. from Syracuse University, where he taught literature and writing.
