Gabriella Troncelliti was born and educated in Italy. She lived in the city of Turin (Torino) which is located in the northwestern corner of the Italian peninsula, at the foot of the Alps. Turin is known for its industrial energy, elegant fashion, Baroque architecture, and northern Italian culture. She attended the University of Turin, majoring in Economics and Commerce. She is also a certified public accountant.
She has been teaching Italian at Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College since 1989. Gabriella also teaches private groups seeking to expand their knowledge of the Italian language through literature. She has worked as a court appointed translator on multiple occasions. She has also been employed as an industrial interpreter. Her interests are contemporary Italian novels and poetry, modern Italian cinema, and Italian history.
