Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics from Georgetown University
Kaylea Berard has been teaching at Bryn Mawr since 2008. She earned her B.A. in Spanish and Art from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics from Georgetown University. She is currently working on two projects to facilitate the acquisition of “late-acquired” linguistic forms and structures: one for Spanish pronouns and the other for the Spanish subjunctive. She has taught and coordinated Beginning Spanish I, Beginning Spanish II, Intermediate Spanish I, and Intermediate Spanish II and takes an active role in increasing accessibility on campus. She taught a Hispanic linguistics course in Spring 2016 (SPAN 216: Introducción a la lingüística hispánica).
