Madeline Cantor (Associate Director) received a BA from Barnard College and MFA from the University of Michigan. She performed and choreographed as a member of Dance Conduit from 1980-89 and continues to work independently. She has been awarded grants for her choreography and works as a guest choreographer with college and youth companies, community groups and professional companies, including Nimbus Dance Works which currently has three of her dances for young audiences it its repertory. At Bryn Mawr she teaches technique, composition, repertory, and a praxis courses in arts teaching and dance learning. She directs the Bryn Mawr Dance Outreach Project, a group which performs in Philadelphia schools, and has been involved with reconstruction projects of historic modern dance. Outside of Bryn Mawr she directs Dance TAG (Teaching Artists Group), and serves on the national board of Dance and the Child International.
