Detailed Biography:
Marissa Golden’s research and teaching interests lie in the field of American politics.
Her current research focuses on local education governance and she is in the process of conducting fieldwork comparing such governance in suburban and urban Philadelphia.
She is the author of What Motivates Bureaucrats? Politics and Administration during the Reagan Years (Columbia University Press, 2000) and has written extensively on administrative regulation and work/family policy. In addition, she serves as an elected School Board Director and as a volunteer after-school tutor and mentor. She has a 15-year old daughter, a dog and two cats.
